Wall Absorber - The Psychedelic Physicist

How the acoustic picture works

Art with a purpose

Beautiful on the wall. More comfortable sound in the room.

There is a carefully considered construction behind the image. A sound-permeable specialist canvas and a 35 mm acoustic panel help absorb sound and reduce sound reflections in the room.

How different tones are absorbed

The curve shows the tested V2 construction’s sound absorption from lower to higher frequencies.

Practical sound absorption

Frequency (Hz) · Lower tones → higher tones

What do the percentages mean?

The percentages show practical sound absorption at the stated frequency: αp × 100. For example, 0.50 corresponds to 50%. This does not mean that the sound level throughout the room falls by 50%.

V2 measurement conditions: approximately 35 mm panel thickness, 55 mm overall mounting depth and a 10.8 m² test area. The values apply to the tested construction and mounting.

The difference is on the inside

Lets sound pass through
A canvas specially developed for acoustic pictures allows sound to reach the absorbing panel behind the image.

Spacers create an air gap against the wall. The picture comes with hanging hardware suited to its weight.

What difference will it make at home?

This depends on factors including the room’s size and surfaces, and the total area and position of the pictures. They help reduce sound reflections within the room; they do not soundproof between rooms.

White moustache and outstretched tongue in yellow and blue

A pink tongue and wide-open eyes give this reinterpretation of Einstein an instantly playful expression. Tousled white hair and a thick moustache shine against yellow facial planes, with blue and red lines tracing the wrinkles. The Psychedelic Physicist acoustic wall art uses the dark jacket and tie to anchor a vivid composition full of humour and sharp detail.
